Something Totally New...

Okay, found a new project online that I am going to try and I will let you know how it turns out. You just take the wooden letters to spell whatever your little heart desires and cover them. As far as I can see, all you need is the letters, some thin batting, coordinating fabric and the ever popular Mormon woman power tool- the hot glue gun. It sounds pretty self explanatory, hopefully I don't screw it up. ;) I think it could be super cute to spell out seasonal words like SPRING, HARVEST, Boo!, SUMMER, etc., etc. or maybe WELCOME or FAMILY or LOVE or BABY or whatever! So, here goes....wish me luck!

CHOCOLATE! (Best Recipes Ever!)

Okay- I have found a website that I am madly in love with. www.hungy-girl.com Super amazing recipes that are, gasp, low fat, all natural, and low calorie! So, here is my favorite recipe for today....

Chocolate Muffins

1 Devils Food Cake Mix
1 15 oz can of pumpkin (not the pie filling-just the pumpkin...)

Mix them together. You may be tempted to add things to it, DON'T!
Fill muffin tin and for an extra chocoholic addition-add a few chocolate chips (semi-sweet of course) to the top.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool-ENJOY!

Seriously-best muffins ever. You don't even taste the pumpkin!

Happy Muffins!

New Fabulous Recipe Book

Just found the BEST recipe book at Hastings. It was even on SALE! It's called Hungry Girl. It's awesome. It focuses on low fat and high fiber - which, by the way is great! Some of the recipes are super interesting (aka weird...) but some look pretty awesome. There are some recipes for brownies using canned pumpkin instead of all the stuff that makes you fat. :) I will have to give it a shot and let you know. She also has a website where you can check out these awesome, healthy recipes for hungry chicks. www.hungry-girl.com
Check it out! I dare you... :)
Much love-
Katie

Ninja Number One

Okay-Here is a pic of the first ninja. I decided that all of my sisters in law should have one for their birthdays. I am totally committed to making homemade gifts this year. So, Happy Birthday Becky!

I was surprised to find that it is relatively easy and a quick sew. I did this one while driving through Yellowstone Park and the Henry's Lake area. I think that they make super cute dishtowels, but would probably also look cute framed.

See what you think and let me know....

I am NOT a Domestic Goddess...I'm a NINJA!

Welcome! Thought that there might be more people like me that need quick, easy crafts and recipes, etc...I got so tired of flipping around everywhere looking for fun stuff. So, being as I have no life beyone crafting, cooking and blogging, I thought I might just do the hard work for you. Currently in my world, there is an upcoming wedding. In hoping my future sister in law has a great sense of humor, I am making her these dish towels from Sibling Craftery. I have included a link to the patterns. Just scroll down and look for "Domestic Ninjas". They are super easy and pretty quick to make. (and flippin' cute!)
Enjoy!
Much Love and Happy Crafting-
